Artist Books > In A Stranger's Care
In A Stranger’s Care, started from small collages I made using found images from magazines. I’d randomly select three or four publications and thumb through them until something caught my attention. Without planning, I searched for visual reminders of people, places, experiences, and time. I’d cut and paste these observations into simple compositions. Some collages feel like fragments of memory; others are more obscure, like a dream slipping out of reach. The result is a collection of daily gestures, a calendar of work for one month early in my residency at the Boston Center for the arts.
